Serving the Ballarat community for the entirety of our existence, we have changed and grown with the city. Our affinity with the people who have walked through our doors has been unwavering, continuously informing our actions as a welfare organisation.

We are immensely proud of the role we have played in helping some of the district’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable families and will strive to continue this legacy into the future.

Expression of interest - original artworks for Cafs

Cafs is seeking expressions of interest from creative people within our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to develop artwork for two significant projects - an artwork to be featured in Cafs' Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2021-2023 and adapted for reporting and promotion of the RAP, and an original mural to be painted on site, at Cafs Family Contact Centre in Black Hill, Ballarat.
Thread Together is coming to Ballarat - volunteers needed!

Cafs will soon be launching a fantastic new partnership with Thread Together to provide people in need across the Ballarat region with brand-new clothing and accessories. Thread Together is a not-for-profit organisation driving social and environmental change by redistributing excess clothing stock through purpose-designed clothing hubs. Without Thread Together, many of these items would end up in landfill.

Cafs is looking for a diverse range of people to join its new Consumer Advisory Board Sub-Committee (CAB). The CAB provides advice and works with Cafs on how we can make our services better for our community.
