With the joys of physical distancing continuing to present in 2020, this didn't halt the Cafs community celebrating NAIDOC Week in style.

Cafs was very fortunate to have Nova Peris accept an invitation to talk about her incredible journey and achievements as a proud Aboriginal woman, mother, elite sports women, politician and activist over many years.

In this Webinar, Nova shares what 'Always was, always will be' means to her, alongside some further insight into what it mean to be a non-indigenous ally. As well as the importance of Reconciliation Action Plans for organisations across Australia.

At Cafs we recognise that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples are the First Nations Peoples of Australia. We acknowledge the impact of colonisation and dispossession of generations of First Nations Peoples and the negative impact this has on the health and wellbeing of these communities in the past, and today.

Our vision for reconciliation at Cafs is to walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to continue to build respectful relationships in order to celebrate the rich histories, achievements and resilience of First Nations peoples.

We hope you enjoy this webinar and happy NAIDOC Week 2020.
