Recently Cafs was pleased to welcome the Commissioner for Residential Tenancies Dr Heather Holst. Dr Holst spoke to the Cafs Tenants Advocacy program team about the great work that's being done in the private rental space and discussed the current issues being faced by some in our region.  

Before taking up her role as Commissioner, Heather was the Deputy CEO of Launch Housing following the merger HomeGround and Hanover in 2015, when she was CEO of HomeGround.
Heather’s experience spans homelessness services, housing management, tenant advice, policy and research in both non-profits and government since 1989. Heather has contributed to key innovations, including as designer of HomeGround Real Estate.
Heather is Adjunct Lecturer in History at the University of New South Wales and a board member of the Australian Alliance to End Homelessness.
